YC-NISDA AT A GLANCE                       The Research Institution NISDA was formed on the 1st of March 05, to be a Defence think tank for conducting research related activities in the area of security studies. The institution intends to contribute through academic and intellectual research with its aim to influence the understanding & analysis of policy formation and its effects in the international arena. The comprehensive goal is to play a think tanks role in analyzing & commenting on different perspectives, valuable lessons and proposals for international trends & events. However to give due respect to Ex- Deputy Prime Minister of India late. Aims and Objectives• To establish a globally recognized research, teaching and training center on the campus of UoP in the multi-disciplinary area of strategic and national security affairs.
• To innovate, design and create courses at post-graduate, diploma and certificate levels and integrate them with other programmes on the campus.
• Create an inter-relationship with industrialists and entrepreneurs at national and international levels to engage in contract research of user value.
Vision1. YC-NISDA aims to be a centre of excellence, academically oriented to the study of international security and defence analysis.
2. YC-NISDA will contribute meaningfully towards the formulation of national security policy by developing a better understanding of international security concerns.
3. NISDA will initiate dialogue and discussion to bridge the gap between the realm of ideas and the domain of public policy making to produce policy relevant studies in national security affairs.
MissionTo create human resources and expertise as well as a school of thought to contribute towards strategic thinking. To safeguard our national interest and core values harmonize them with universal Security concerns
